The third annual Taste of Playa www.tasteofplaya.com is in it’s final stages of planning so the count down is on! This year there are 34 restaurants and 6 beverage participants representing the best food and drinks that the Riviera Maya has to offer. The event takes place on Nov. 20th at Parque Fundadores which is located at Juarez and 5th (near the ferry docks) from 3pm to 9pm. What could be better than the beautiful Caribbean Ocean, good food, drinks and wonderful people? For those of you not familiar with the event there is a VIP section but has sold out for some time now. Need to get these earlier next year!

Being a foody and owning a catering business I was happy to participate on the board of executives as the chair of operations for the second year in a row. We have a team of 8 executives who work tirelessly all year on the event. It is definitely a team effort in the attempt to improve each year and support our community. Our passion for good, local food helps us to give back to this wonderful place we live in. Part of the proceeds go to supporting a clean water and food program. We are happy to have the Playa del Carmen Rotary club facilitate this as a community effort.

Let’s get back to the food….Taste of Playa is THE place to try delicious foods from restaurants that you may not have tried both within Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area. Each bite is professionally served and displayed for as little as 10 pesos! Thirsty? You will have signature cocktails, smooth tequilas and ice cold beer just to mention a few options. This year we have reconfigured the site to utilize the space to the maximum potential. The restaurants are all located on the perimeter of the park and the beverage vendors are in the middle.
